Beverly Folts - Director

With over 7 years as a director and 26 years of experience in nurturing children from infancy through young adulthood, Ms. Beverly is dedicated to creating a supportive and enriching environment at One Hope Preschool. Her passion for working with children drives her commitment to their growth and development. Currently pursuing her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Ms. Beverly believes in the importance of lifelong learning. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys quality time with her family and finds joy in visiting the beach.

Elaine Clinard - Director of Admissions and Staff

Ms. Elaine brings over 30 years of experience in Early Childhood Education to One Hope Preschool. She attended Bradford School of Business, holds a Director's License, and is CDA certified, demonstrating her dedication to continuous professional development. Throughout her career, Ms. Elaine has served as an in-home nanny, a preschool teacher for all age groups, and a childcare coordinator. Married with two grown boys, Ms. Elaine enjoys spending time with her family and listening to music. In the preschool setting, she loves singing with the children, being silly, and watching them grow and learn as they interact with each other and their teachers. She believes the smiles and laughter from the little ones are the best part of the job—a true blessing! Ms. Elaine's joyful personality is contagious, making her an invaluable part of the One Hope team.

Mr. Billy - Enrichment

Mr. Billy brings his love for all things STEM to One Hope. With a Bachelor's degree in Geology from the University of Houston and 12 years of experience at Western Geophysical, Mr. Billy is a highly skilled and knowledgeable role model. In addition to his professional background, he has been teaching Sunday School for several years and is an active member of the Christian Education committee. As a life-long scout and the BSA Scoutmaster for Troop #549 for over 40 years, he has a passion for working with children and helping them have fun while learning. We are grateful to have Mr. Billy on our team and look forward to the positive impact he will continue to have on our school and students.

Ms. Karlie - Zebras Class Co-Teacher & Curriculum Specialist

Ms. Karlie - Zebras Class Co-Teacher & Curriculum Specialist

Ms. Karlie has been working in childcare with all ages for 13 years, and has taught Sunday School at church for many years. Karlie is CDA Certified and holds a director's license. Although she doesn't have any children of her own, she claims the kids of the school as her babies. The things Ms. Karlie loves most about working with children are watching them grow, learn, and being the light of Jesus in their lives. Her hobbies include playing piano, crafting, reading, and spending time with family. Ms. Karlie is a shining light at One Hope.

Ms. Moriya - Zebras Class Co-Teacher

Ms. Moriya - Zebras Class Co-Teacher

Ms. Moriya brings over a year of professional early childhood experience and five years as a nanny for a special needs child. She has served as a site director at the Kingwood YMCA and as a nursery lead teacher at University Park Baptist Church. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in English and TEFL/TESOL certification, Ms. Moriya is dedicated to nurturing young minds through joyful, hands-on learning experiences. In her free time, she enjoys DIY furniture projects, painting, thrifting, arts and crafts, and studying languages.

Ms. Yessica - Butterflies Class Teacher

Ms. Yessica has over 7 years of experience working with young children. Currently undertaking her CDA courses, she is committed to furthering her knowledge and skills to benefit our students. She enjoys engaging with the children through arts and crafts activities, helping them achieve their developmental milestones and witnessing their growth. Ms. Yessica is a mother of three and loves spending quality time with her family while enjoying outdoor activities such as camping and soccer. She is a constant source of positive energy and maintains a consistently upbeat attitude, bringing smiles to everyone around her. We're so glad to have her with us brightening our days!

Ms. Ruby - Giraffes Class Co-Teacher

With more than 7 years of experience working with young children, Ms. Ruby brings an abundance of wisdom and expertise to our school. Her greatest satisfaction comes from providing a safe and nurturing space for children to learn and grow. She is particularly fond of reading with her students during story time, and sharing her passion for literacy with them. When not at school, Ms. Ruby enjoys spending quality time with her family and indulging in a good book. We are delighted to have Ms. Ruby as part of our team.

Ms. Tammy - Giraffes Class Co-Teacher

Ms. Tammy has over 24 years of experience in early childhood education, with a special focus on infants and toddlers. She began her teaching journey at the church she grew up in and later completed her Infant-Toddler CDA in early 2020. Ms. Tammy is dedicated to continually learning and growing as an educator and is passionate about providing a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for young children. Outside the classroom, she’s an artist who creates clay dragons and earrings, a long-time figure skater, and an avid online gamer.

Ms. Tina - Toucans Class Co-Teacher

With over 13 years in early childhood education, Ms. Tina holds three college degrees in Early Childhood Education, Accounting and Chinese. She is passionate about guiding children through exploration and learning, creating an environment where they feel supported and curious. Outside the classroom, Ms. Tina enjoys listening to music, drinking Chinese tea, and sharing her culture, often incorporating elements of Chinese language and traditions into her teaching.

Ms. Tyra - Toucans Class Co-Teacher

Ms. Tyra - Toucans Class Co-Teacher

Ms. Tyra brings over six years of early childhood experience to the Toucans class, having worked in both Head Start programs and her college’s childcare center. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Consumer Sciences with a focus on Family Development and is currently pursuing her Teacher Certification in Early Childhood through 6th Grade. Ms. Tyra finds deep joy in witnessing children’s curiosity and wonder and is passionate about creating a nurturing space for learning and growth. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, running at the park, binge-watching Netflix, and playing Sims 4.

Ms. De'Von - Pandas Class Co-Teacher

Ms. De'Von - Pandas Class Co-Teacher

Ms. De’Von brings over 11 years of experience working with children, including more than a decade in preschool education. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology from Ashford University and a Master of Human Resource Management from the University of Arizona Global Campus. In addition to being a certified director, she has served as an aftercare director and supervisor. Ms. De’Von is passionate about helping children grow through fun, engaging learning experiences and values their honesty, resilience, and curiosity. Outside the classroom, she enjoys crafting, karaoke, and spending time with her family and sorority sisters in Alpha Kappa Alpha.

Ms. Angie - Pandas Class Co-Teacher

Ms. Angie has over 6 years of experience working with children in a childcare setting. She enjoys working with the younger children, and watching them grow and meet their milestones. Her favorite thing about teaching is providing the children in her care with opportunities to express their creativity. Ms. Angie has completed her Infant Toddler CDA courses and is working on getting her certification. She has 4 wonderful children of her own, and enjoys spending quality time with her family. Ms. Angie's attention to schedules and routines shines through in her students' confidence, making her a valuable member of our team.

Ms. Rachel - Leap Frogs Class Teacher & Technology Specialist

Ms. Rachel - Leap Frogs Class Teacher & Technology Specialist

Ms. Rachel is our Pre-K Teacher and Technology Specialist, and has over 11 years of experience in the classroom. She attended Sam Houston State University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Education, and earned her certification to teach Early Childhood through 6th Grade in Texas. She also has her English as a Second Language certification, and spent 5 years working with ESL students in Alief ISD where she developed a passion for helping young children grow and develop the foundational skills needed to be successful in upper elementary school and beyond. She loves inspiring creativity in the children she works with. We are so glad to have her with us.

Ms. Susanna - Leap Frogs Class Assistant Teacher

Ms. Susanna is a highly experienced educator who has worked with children ranging from infants to school-age for over 11 years. With a deep passion for observing children as they learn and grow, Ms. Susanna finds great joy in witnessing those "lightbulb" moments when they grasp a new concept. She is particularly drawn to the whimsical nature of young children and relishes the opportunity to see the world through their eyes, where everything is wondrous and magical. In her free time, Ms. Susanna enjoys a range of hobbies including dancing, music, gardening, writing, reading, and studying American Sign Language. We are so fortunate to have Ms. Susanna as a member of our team!
